The final column of the crysis 3 Nvidia GTX 680 graph displays the results where we have disabled the anti-aliasing altogether. Lets bring in the big guns now to really put Crysis 3 through its graphical paces.Ĭrysis 3 Nvidia GTX 680 benchmarks are run at 1920 x 1080 screen resolution With selections like TxAA High simply not being there for any but the most powerful cards.Ĭrysis 3 running on Intel I5-2500k Quad core 3.3GHz, 8 GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 680 overclocked. We noticed that Crysis 3's AA options varied depending on the GPU in the machine. Of course the thought of playing Crysis 3 like this is likely to make a lot of people wince, but not everyone has a choice. The HD 4000 onboard graphics solution can actually just about run Crysis 3 at lowest settings and with the system hungry AA turned off and the screen resolution set to tiny screen option. TxAA options are not available for this graphics solution. Similarly, avoid using the SMAAx4 or MSAAx8, they have a large drop in FPS.

If you really want the graphics, you can go up to High with some loss of performance, although Very high is crippling. With FXAA and Low settings, although the FPS is only 26, it is fairly constant, firefights/fast movement don't deteriorate it much. FXAA seemed to give a consistant 1-3 FPS boost over disabling, unsure why. Overall, quite playable, although would still keep AA at SMx2 or below. At high speeds or in big fights, you may well slow down though.Ĭrysis 3 Frames Per Second at screen resolution 1024*768 Generally not very good, at low settings with SMAAx1 or below it is playable, especially for sniping or similar slow classes. Okay then, will the new onboard Intel HD 4000 gpu chipset be able to run Crysis 3?Ĭrysis 3 running on Intel I5-3570k Quad core 3.4GHz, 8 GB RAM, Onboard graphics Intel HD 4000.Ĭrysis 3 Frames Per Second at screen resolution 1366*768 The problem is that Nvidia 8800 GTX is only capable of DX 10 and yet the Crysis 3 Multiplayer beta requirements state that the GPU needs a DX 11 capable graphics solution. Now that we have our hands on Crysis 3 we have put a whole bunch of PC hardware through its paces, to see how it runs on different systems.įirst up for the Crysis 3 benchmarking test is the awesome Nvidia 8800 GTX.ĭamn, the GTX 8800 is out before it even had a chance. The first thing to mention is that Crysis 3 is only just in open beta and the purpose of the Crysis 3 beta is invariably to stabilise the game ready for the final release ina few weeks, 22nd February 2013.
